In the film The Day of the Jackal (1973), The Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier model. Referenced in Graham Norton and guests: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024).

The locations look great, the action sequences so far have been engaging and the performances have been convincing

I didn’t really have Eddie Redmayne as The Jackal on my bingo card for this year’s streaming series, but here we go. It’s great to see a classic novel made into such a lavish production, and it all works really well in my opinion.

Úrsula Corberó is lovely to watch on screen, although I’m afraid she’s underused

Like other reviewers, I don’t buy Lashana Lynch as the MI:6 operative and feel she was miscast. On the other hand, it’s always great to see Charles Dance flex his acting muscles.

Otherwise, a great piece of old-school cloak and dagger entertainment
