It was actually mysterious, but then again, the author is very poetic about bringing up old curses and such… or tragic love, human nature. I was swept away by almost everything, not in the first episode, but then I was intrigued, I hope you let the alchemy/magic happen like I did.
A beggar’s cloak envelops you in its wonderful story
It all comes back to history and memory, how unreliable and tangled they are and what we make of them. I just had the urge to reread the novel!
It’s like some “Game of Thrones” fever
The difference is, I can’t read the original, only a translation. It’s not Dickens and a Christmas story for kids, but it’s a story for adults.
